When one thinks of Siem Reap in Cambodia, it means Angkor Wat. Yet, when I stepped into SR coming from Viet Nam, I learned that there are more temples aside from the famed Angkor Wat.
It was a hot day touring the complex but it didn’t deter Vanny, our guide, Besty and me to stop and be amazed. Words can’t give justice how amazing those edifices were eventhough some were reconstructed. Visiting Angkor Complex reminded me of one of my many ambitions when I was younger — to be an archeologist!
Angkor Thom and Bayon, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Ta Phrom and Terraces of the Leper King and Elephants and of course, Angkor Wat – some of the most visited areas in the whole complex. A day is not enough to see all the temples that were constructed centuries ago. This means only one thing —plan the next visit to Siem Reap!
